Dr. Omole is a distinguished physician, educator, and researcher with a robust career
in medicine and anatomical sciences. He has devoted the last 17 years to academic
function in undergraduate medical education, teaching American medical students in
the US and offshore American medical schools. He earned his degree in medicine from
the prestigious College of Medicine, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He was a
practicing physician for some years before transitioning to academia as a Teaching
and Research Fellow at St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada. His academic
journey continued at Atlantic University School of Medicine, Saint Lucia, and American
University of Antigua, Antigua, where he progressed from Assistant Professor to Associate
Professor of Anatomical Sciences. Dr. Omole's educational background is both extensive
and interdisciplinary. He holds a Master of Science in Stem Cells and Regeneration
from the University of Bristol (UK). Dr. Omole serve as Associate Professor-Research
in the Cell Biology and Anatomy Department at Louisiana State University Health Sciences
Center, New Orleans since August 2023 before joining the faculty at LSU School of
Kinesiology in August 2025.
A prolific scholar, Dr. Omole has authored over 25 papers and book chapters. His research
area includes stem cells and regenerative medicine, cardiovascular anatomy, and medical
education. The US Congressional Research Service recognized his published papers on
induced pluripotent stem cells.
