BS: Kinesiology

Concentration: Pre-Athletic Training

The Pre-Athletic Training concentration within LSU's BS in Kinesiology is designed for students pursuing careers in athletic training and related health professions. The coursework provides students with a strong foundation in injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for physically active individuals. This concentration equips students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for entry into athletic training graduate programs, as well as careers in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and fitness settings.

Admission Requirements

Admission into the School of Kinesiology undergraduate program requires a 2.5 GPA and completion with a C or better in English 1001, Math 1021, Math 1022, Biology 1201 and 1202.

Course Requirements

Total number of hours required for a BS in Kinesiology Pre-Athletic Training Concentration is 120 hours. There are electives the students may need to meet the prerequisites for professional schools which could possibly require additional hours.
